2008 FROM STREET TO SKY - Writer/Director

New Zealand Film Commission / Maori Television

FROM STREET TO SKY captures the spirit of Tigilau Ness, the man who has been at the forefront of political and spiritual music in Aotearoa and an instigator of roots reggae in this country.

Tigilau (Tigi) is a musician and an activist, a founding member of the Polynesian Panthers and father to Che Fu, one of our most influential and talented Maori artists.

Now aged 50, he is preparing to record his second album with his band Unity Pacific – an album that will explore his faith and his concerns about social justice and equality.
